Christina Aguilera dropped a bombshell on social media this morning (May 8). The comeback queen revealed that she’s performing at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas on May 20 — and she’s bringing along Demi Lovato. They will belt out “Fall In Line,” the only vocal collaboration on Liberation. (There are multiple rap features). This makes perfect sense. After all, “Accelerate” was being talked about as a buzz track before it was even released and now it’s all but official.

It will be interesting to see if the final version of “Fall In Line” is noticeably different from the demo that leaked a few weeks ago. That version hints at a fiery ballad full of vocal runs and emotion. Put together two vocally blessed divas and we’re in for something special. Xtina isn’t playing this era. There’s a steady stream of content and fans are very much on board. “Accelerate” didn’t fly to the top of the charts, but it wasn’t supposed to. It’s just a warning that she’s back and better than ever.
