Halsey has confirmed that she and rapper G-Eazy have split up.

The two artists began dating last summer, and publicly announced that they were in a relationship back in September 2017. The pair went on to collaborate on the December 2017 single ‘Him & I’.

However, Halsey has now announced that she and the Oakland rapper have gone their separate ways. Posting to her Instagram Story yesterday (July 3), Halsey said that the pair were “taking some time apart” and that she wished G-Eazy “the best”.

“I normally keep this kind of thing private but provided our public nature I feel the need to inform my fans. G-Eazy and I are taking some time apart,” she wrote.

“I’m eager to continue the upcoming passage of time dedicating myself to my art and my career, and the duration of my tour. I wish him the best. Thanks for respecting our privacy at this time.”

Back in May, Halsey was among a number of star artists who performed on the final of The Voice in the US.

The likes of Florence + The Machine, Ryan Adams, James Bay and Dua Lipa also performed during the finale to bring the curtain down on the talent show’s fourteenth season.
