Well, this is a little unexpected. It looks like Beyonce has a collaboration with Cardi B in the can. The rapper, who burst on to the scene in 2017 with history-making hit “Bodak Yellow,” let the cat out of the bag on Instagram. More specifically, her engineer did. “Wow this feature is big,” Michael Ashby wrote on his Instagram story. Eagle-eyed fans peeped the words “Cardi B ft. Beyonce Demo” in the accompanying pic and everything spiraled from there. The breakout star all but confirmed the collaboration by asking fans to remove pics and videos.
As successful as “Bodak Yellow” has been, this is still an unusual move from the usually ultra-picky Beyonce. After all, at this point, Cardi is still a one-hit wonder. (That should change soon with her feature on G-Eazy’s rising hit “No Limit”). It looks like Queen Bey has a little time on her hands between album cycles and decided to put it to good use. Or perhaps she just really loved the song and wanted to be involved. Who knows? Needless to say, this will be big. Check out a screengrab and updates below.
