Nick Jonas Talks New JoBros Album & That Unfortunate Grammys Spinach Incident on ‘Fallon’: Watch

Jonas Brothers have a new album coming soon. That’s the word according to Nick Jonas, who stopped by The Tonight Show for a chat and to play some games with host Jimmy Fallon. «Yeah, a new album. It’s coming,» the JoBro told Fallon on Tuesday night (Feb. 25). «We figured, why slow down.” After their 2019 reunion album Happiness Begins, the pop trio “literally two or three weeks later we were with a bunch of our songwriting friends, we went somewhere to record to write and came out with a record pretty much done,» he explained. Ryan Tedder is back on board the project, for which “we’re putting the finishing touches on now,” he continued. “We’re ready to go.” The sibling act dropped the first song from their new album in January, “What a Man Gotta Do.” Tedder worked on the bros’ last album Happiness Begins, which peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and yielded the Billboard Hot 100 leader “Sucker.”

Jonas clearly has a lot on his plate right now. The 27-year-old has a regular gig on another NBC show, The Voice, where he’s settling in as a coach for season 18. And just last month, he and his brothers were nominated for best pop duo/group performance at the Grammys, where they hit the stage for a two-song performance. Nick was apparently so busy he forgot to check himself in the mirror. The whole world apparently spotted the spinach wedged in his teeth, everyone with the exception of the singer. He found out soon after he exited the stage. “The first message on my phone was from Adam Levine,” he told Fallon. «It was like, ‘nice performance. You had a bit of schmutz in your cheek.’” No harm, no foul. “It just goes to show you,” Jonas said, “you can be performing on the Grammys, and be nominated and still have spinach in your teeth.” True, that.

To prove he’s a good sport, Jonas stuck around to play a round of “Slay it, don’t spray it,» a game where the pair slam karaoke pop songs, and get punished with a squirt of water in the face each time they mess up. Get it right, the other guy gets sprayed. First up, Jonas got Katy Perry’s “I Kissed a Girl”. Easy. Then Fall Out Boy’s «Sugar, We’re Goin’ Down.” Not a problem. Jonas doesn’t leave the game dry. He has a Jonas Brothers song to thank for it. Watch below.
