One of the strangest theories swirling around social media goes a little something like this: Nicki Minaj had no idea that Cardi B was joining her on Migos’ “Motor Sport”and only found out after the song was released. Wrong. The rapper found a little time to set the record straight on Twitter. “I was on the song w/Quavo,” she begins. “No one else was on it. He called & asked if I think we should put Bardi on it, I said ‘ok let’s do it’. The end.” The 34-year-old finds the whole hypothesis absurd.
“Migos weren’t even on it yet,” Nicki continues. “Just Quavo. The conspiracy theories r just so tired. Relax. Breathe. Imagine me not knowing who on a song w/me.” The hitmaker then gives specifics. “Anything w/my name on it gets approved by me,” she explains. “It can’t even go on a streaming service w/o me hearing it & giving written approval.” Why do these rumors keep popping up? “These are men in our culture who simply refuse to let it go.
